Fritz has taught U.S. History in college, middle and high school for more than 30 years. He is Professor and Chair of History and Director of History Education at the University of Northern Colorado(UNC) where he teaches courses in American History and directs the teacher preparation program in history. Fritz earned his BA and MA in History from Stanford University and his PhD in US History from Northwestern University and has authored two books and a number of articles on teaching history. More importantl, as his four children grew up here in Colorado, he coached soccer for 42 youth recreational teams. An avid hiker, golfer and Colorado sports fan, Fritz seeks to advance the teaching and character building goals embedded in the PCA mission.
