Kim Oden graduated from Stanford Univeristy with a degree in public policy. After graduation Kim joined the U.S. Women's National Volleyball team and played in both the 1988 and 1992 summer Olympic games. Kim was the Captain of both of these teams, in 1988 she was voted "best hitter." Kim finished her Olympic career by bringing home a bronze medal in the 1992 Olympics.

As the head volleyball coach at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California, Kim recorded over 100 wins and only 34 losses in four years. She coached her team to many CCS and Nor Cal Finals appearances and was also awarded Positive Coaching Alliance's prestigious Double-Goal Coach® award.

Kim currently resides in Southern California where she is a guidance counselor at a local high school.
