Casey Taggatz

Now in his second season as Vice President, Communications, Content & Player Development, Taggatz enters his 12th season overall with the Suns, having started with the team as a game-night media relations assistant in 2005. In his role, Taggatz oversees all communications efforts for the Phoenix Suns and Mercury, as well as a Creative Content team designed to produce digital, social media and broadcast content in support of both teams, Talking Stick Resort Arena and Phoenix Suns Charities.

During his time with the club, Taggatz has led the Ring of Honor inductions of “The Voice of the Suns” Al McCoy (2017), two-time MVP Steve Nash (2015) and former Suns head coach, John MacLeod (2012), as well as major announcements including the most recent venue naming rights agreement, multiple Suns brand campaigns, and the Suns’ purchase and relocation of the club’s NBA G League affiliate, the Northern Arizona Suns. Taggatz’s involvement in the Valley sports scene also includes work with the NFL during Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale, two years on the Fiesta Bowl Committee, and currently as a board member with Positive Coaching Alliance.

A 2004 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, Taggatz played four years of collegiate basketball for the Eagles. The Stevens Point, Wisconsin native and his wife, Rachel, reside in Phoenix.
